Warmer Weather Sparks Shark Attack Warnings |
As the weather gets warmer off Australia’s coast, sharks will continually become more active and wonder closer to show in popular beaches. All swimmers are urged to consult with local beach officials and lifeguards with the current threat of sharks. Beach officials are warning beach goers about the potent ional threat of sharks swimming near shore. The Bull Shark is one of the most feared and has been notorious for attacking humans off Australia. Last January, a woman was killed off the North Stradbroke Island by a bull shark. The shark attacked her instantly and began to bite her in several places, causing death. Many of the beaches of Australia are protected by shark nets that usually keep the beach goers safe from sharks. This type of equipment helps to protect the swimmers from the sharks. |
