Old 'Leban Cyclone' Electric Guitar NO RESERVE Just when I think I've seen about every brand of vintage Japanese guitar a new one like this pops up. The only markings are the name Leban Cyclone on the head, and Made in Japan on the neck plate. It looks about like the typical Teisco or Kawai product from the same era, but it does have an interesting textured metal pickguard, and unusual chrome covered pickups that are larger than you might expect. It has controls for tone and volume and rocker switches for the pickups and rythym / solo settings. The guitar appears to be all original and it's in good used condition. There are some finish chips down to the wood here and there (see photos) but no cracks or repairs. It is missing the little string retainer on the head but it seems to play just fine without it. Everything works as it should electronically and it has a nice twangy tone. The neck has a fairly chunky profile and it's almost flattened out on the back for a comfortable feel. And the guitar is light and well balanced. It almost looks like the body and neck are made of mahogany or some similiar lightweight wood, in fact. I'll send it with some sort of non-original gig bag. If you like the old wacky Japanese guitars from the 1960's this could be the one for you. Look it over then bid to win- I'm listing it with NO RESERVE.U.S. shipping and insurance will be $35 (more to Alaska and Hawaii). CANADIAN SHIPPING: International Priority Mail postage and insurance to Canada will be $50. Other International bids are welcome, but please email for a shipping quote before bidding. Shipping prices will vary by destination, but International Priority Mail shipping with insurance is generally around $80 for Japan, Europe and the U.K. The post office has size limits on packages going to some countries (including Australia, Thailand, Israel and most South American countries), so in those cases I will not be able to ship it. International bidders are responsible for any taxes or duties, and I can not declare a lower value on the customs form.
