I've only owned this reel a little longer then a month, so I can't honestly say how well its going to hold out as time passes. But, I have made about 8 trips with it so far either plugging/clamming from the surf, or fishing from the bays. And its worked great. Drag is very smooth, and it has an all out smooth retrieve, great reel for the price in my honest opinion. I have the FA Model. Like I said I can't say how it performs after years pass because I simply haven't owned it that long, but I can say for the month I've owned it I don't have any regrets what so ever in buying the shimano spheros. By the way If you plan to use the reel for plugging/clamming I recommend the size 8000, just spool that badboy up with some 20lb braid, and your good to go. |
