Shark Bites Surfer Off Oregon Coast

A surfer was with some friends and surfing the waters of Oregon Coast, when his foot was bitten by a shark.  

The surfer explains to paramedics that he was able to beat the aggressive shark off with his surfboard.  The shark continued to attack, and eventually gave up and swap way.

“According to paramedics who were initially on the scene it was superficial to moderately deep cuts to his right foot," paramedic Matt Hause said.

Records indicate that there have been over 12 Oregon Shark Attacks.

The surfer was released from the hospital after being treated for the foot wound and minor injuries.
