Default Hoo & Tuna 09/29

I had an opportunity to take an old friend Mike Sat AM.
We knew the weather was gonna get ugly so we hit it early.

Dirty water off PB, headed S, got drilled on a new red/blk wahooking in 160'
Nice way to start the day. (missed one other hoo bite)

Switched over to dead bait & within 15 minutes hooked a double.
Get it up to the boat & it's a fat blackfin.

Pretty stoked & made plans for sashimi & pan seared ahi & ono for din din

Homey hit a blue/white islander w #7 :dunce:

Made a couple drops to the bottom & Mike was crushing the tails. :worthy:

Weather getting ugly, feel like quitting while we were ahead after just a couple hrs fishing Shot of our sushi bound friends in the slush. :cat:

Pretty good day of fishing there capt. I fished friday and hooked up three nice blackfin's and a cuda. Tuna Tartar, seared tuna and a little sushi graced my table for dinner. Wish my wahooking would have gotten crushed as well but still a good day on the water.

It helps. I'm no wahoo xpert, but my best hoo came as the sun was just showing her crack on the horizon. Troll the backside off the reef, and any good rips you see. Keep trying you'll get one

Last time out to the 50, we trolled out...as we dropped down to fwd idle to pull in the lines, a 'hoo nailed the deep bait as we were cranking it in. That was just as the sun was getting low
