Default 95.5 lb slob for the Nothin's Wild Boys (on Shockwave)

Rusty & the gang really did it this time.
We (Cloud Nine) were in line w top fish of the day & 5 minutes to go w this 58.5

RUH ROH, Shockwave has a beast in the back of a golf cart & it weighed 95.5 lbs.

Way to go guys on a tru SLOB !!!

We absolutely CRUSHED the fish on Cloud Nine
(23 hoos day 1 top 5 weighed 184lbs, 11 hoos day 2, top 5 weighed 162.

We missed a nice pay-day by 2 lbs, but had a blast !!

thanks e-money great job to all of your crew on cloud nine we also had a great time our nerves were strung out when we had that fish on because we had lost 3 fish that day with the leader in our hand so we felt nothin's safe until she was in the boat.

It is tempting, but I have a couple of projects going on that require my attention this week. Dam work keeps getting in the way!

Oh well just have to wait for Chub? Perhaps I will go this week and fish the Pocket, take the dogs out with me.

I was fired up about Hawks Nest but it looks like we're not going either. I'm down to just two people and that won't get it done. I guess the 100+ lbs wahoo's are safe this year...

Hope to see you there, even if I won't look forward to the stiff competition.

DAMN, WHAT A HOO! That looks like the one that bit me off on 300# mono last summer

True story about losing the biggest hoo I've ever had my own eyes on in person:

Fun fishing for marlin etc off of Destin around the Spur/Nipple area and the LARGE short corner gets eaten. The fish peels off 50-100 yds of line at strike on the Tiagra 50W, then sort of settles in to come home. Angler is strapped into standup gear and begins the fight. 2-3 minutes into it the fish is ~50 yds from the boat but we've not yet seen him. The fish swims at the boat and I get a quick look at him just off the port corner. I see about 7-8' of bright blue. We think we've got a 100-125 class blue on the line. "It's a rat blue," one of us yells. The "rat blue" sees me and swims parallel to the transom and then away off the starboard corner. Line goes slack. "Shit, he spit it." The dejected angler reeled in, and we saw that the leader was cut cleanly.

We all looked at each other in shock, awe, and disbelief that we'd had a goddamn wahoo on that was so big we thought he was a marlin. I'd like a second try at that one!

The problem is that you really can't believe anyone anymore. I heard 20 boats, but they have a big problem that they don't have any rooms available. Apparently there is on 15 ready and they were taken weeks ago. Not sure they were all taken by fisherman. Could be tourists.

Anyway with the weather expected early in the week, not sure who will show up. Coulbe be another Treasure.....
