Default Wahoo bite has gone off in Venice, LA

Got out again today (12-27-06) after letting the fish rest another 10 days due to weather..mate Bob Adisano and I got down yesterday and fueled up and re-rigged all the baits so we would be ready if we got into a wahoo blitz..success is where preparation meets opportunity..In 2 hours fishing this morning we caught 7 wahoo from 30-80 pounds, released 2 boatside after pictures and turned a double header on yellowfins..had to cut the heasds of the better fish to ge iot asll to fit in the box..had two fish pushing 75 -80 pounds - see pic below

Damn, isn't this a little late for the hooters? They were crazy in Destin back in May and June, and steady through the summer. Do they normally move your way this time of year?
