I heard. I have friends and family in Morehead right now. Sounded like the bite went off Wednesday. They are still allowed 3 per day. I used to fish out of Manasquan inlet in Jersey back in the day. Did you have a lot of shark problems up there this year ? We fish with the OverUnder in Cat Island in the spring. I guess they had some good YFT days and many small bluefins.

I have a link on here?

I will work on the 4th.

Really! I don't have to justify myself to me. I am 54 yr old and know who I am and what I am. I do, however, have to justify myself to my wife almost daily.

I heard the same thing. I Giant fished in the Mud Hole for a couple of Falls years ago. We docked at the Brielle Yacht club and at Robbinsons. We mostly Canyon fish when we are not Giant fishing and sharks really are not a problem. We had a couple of double didget nights and days YF fishing with the biggest fish going about 120 lbs., all in all it was slow for us this year (alot of work obligation).

While the beast does lack cheerleading skills like me he is not far off on this one guy's.

Capt adam from Nassau is bragging on his hoos on this thread and bashing us greedy American fisherman on the fishing reg thread in the Carib section.I know you did not call us hooligans but a few times you said fish in the new limits or stay home So Jim just pointed out he went over the new limit so he better catch them now. Then Capt adam came back bragging that because he is a local he can keep all he wants.Even though he Say's that is not what he meant.

Last time I fished the mud, Everyone was there. 1989/1990 I think. Bite of the century. I was on a 58 Monterey called the AyeRoller back then. We fished Morehead 2 years ago on a 31 Contender...made me buy one. Gale force winds, waves crashing over the motors, 27 degrees...unreal. $4900 fish. I couldn't go this year-same old BS. We did release a fish +-200# out of Hatteras in 6-8s. Thought we would hedge our bet to get a bigger one because the bite was going off, but we were wrong. Love that stuff.

Dang, TD, you and warrior have beat me to a pulp and then when someone agrees with me you say that? Maybe you should relax a bit yourself.

OK, If you notice I filled my profile out completely. I do this in any venue I am a part of because nothing is more frustrating than having a discussion with someone who hides behind his keyboard in anonymity. You know exactly who you are talking to and I am not hiding a thing... You see you looked and knew exactly who you were attacking. I have nothing to hide.

I notice your profile is empty!?!

Killed one and let one go. Whats wrong with that? I never said I didn't kill fish anyway. I enjoy fresh fish. FRESH FISH. All I have in my freezer is Mackeral and Squid, and they have to die in order for me to release swords anyway. About that, we have caught over 35 swords, and only killed 6 or 7. We have released one over 100#s too. Don't get me started. Last time we were on the Corner "matinella" we released over 15 blackfin and yellowfin tunas, and countless dolphin. We use only circle hooks when sailfishing. I have never killed a marlin.
Don't be a jackass.

I havn't been keeping up with this thread, but $4900 for a fish?! That's even a dumber move than what I paid for my boat

I love how hypocritical you all can be. I posted a report saying we caught some nice sized wahoo of Nassau. Sure I was bragging, who wouldnt, but I also posted it to let those who are thinking of wahoo fishing in this area that it is heating up. Secondly I pointed out that there are some fisherman who are greedy, yes foreign and BAH. Yes I said I can keep all I want, but I am not going to. If I wanted to I could keep 100 wahoo, but how would that help the conservation? Keeping 10 a day is perfectly fine.
Perhaps I should lay down my opinion.

1. Both Foreign and Local vessels are responsible for overfishing, but in serperate areas. Some Locals over fish for small fish, conch and lobster. Few BAH boats have electric reels for Deep droping, or gear for pelagics.
2. I Will Keep the old limit as my guidline for my charters (although i wont get close to it 9/10 times)
3. A small percentage of American boaters are holligans and a tad bit too greedy.
4. A small percentage of BAH fisherman are idiots with no fishing morals.
5. Commercial fisherman should be exempt from the new Regs.

QQ, you got upset for me calling a selct few hooligans, yet you all called us greedy, poachers who want to rape the oceans for whats left. Who started the name calling.

It is a simple fact, if you dont like the new Regs, dont come If you can get past the fact that you cant keep all that you want then the BAH is here with welcome arms open.

no, it was terrible for some reason. Fished the shelf for 10 miles, not a strike, stiff NE breeze blowing onto the shelf, falling tide, Perfect conditons. Serious lack of flyers and small tuna could be to blame. Out of 10 boats only one caught a hoo this morning I think the moon is to blame, becase the fishing was red hot 2 weeks ago. Oh well my boats on the hill, and im flying to chicago on thursday for the holidays, need a break will be Busy busy when I return

Ok with everything you say except #2 and #5.Why should you be able to keep more fish then me and commercial fisherman should have there own set of rules. Not just any one selling there catch over there.Any guy could say he was selling his fish and go over the limit.I am done with this I do love the Islands and will be back but not untill they sort out the regs and start enforcing there own laws on there own people.
