Default Fast troll

Morning All

I have been trying the fast troll for Wahoos with no success. I am using a Tormentor rig traveling between 10 and 16 mph. I have been dragging it a good ways back and still no luck. I am crossing from St John to St Croix, I know the hoos are there cause I have caught them at slow troll. Maybe its my lure ?javascript:emoticon(':?:')
Question
If anyone has had luck with the fast troll I would like to hear from them and see what kind of rig they are using.
Thanks for the help

Default Well almost

Last week when I posted the message about fast trolling I was in St Croix. On my way home to St John on Monday (3/27) morning, I left around 5:00 am, the boat speed was 16.5 mph. About 17 miles off of St John (23 from St Croix) I hooked and landed a 40 lb Mahi. I know I was fishing for Hoos but I'll take a 40 lb Mahi anyday !
I'm gonna keep at it !

have had huge success trolling these high speed lures rigged on a double-hook 10/0 rig on 480 # stranded cable. use a 48 oz. trolling sinker on cable as well ahead of the lure. then attach a 400# mono shock leader next, then attach your main line. be sure to only have about a 3 foot leader on the lure or the head will slide up and get hit by another wahoo. troll at high speed. lure heads come in 16 and 24 oz. with screw in skirts available. buy a skirt with the lure and an extra as well, you will need it are the design makes it easy to change out. check out offshorecollection.com and look at the high speed cone head lures they are the bomb.
