Default high speeding while crossing to the bahamas

i just got word that i may be going to the bahamas july 4th and we will be crossing in a 23cc Regulator. Ive read about high speeding for wahoo while crossing to the bahamas in magazines and i was wondering if anyone has done this before? it is going to mainly be a diving trip but i want to catch some hoos too.

how fast are you gonna be going , because what i consider high speed is over 40mph to bahamas, , jus kidding, you probabily wont be able to go much faster than 20 , considering thats the fastest ive ever heard anyone going for hoos , you will probabily want to try between 10-16 mph and will surely get a bite if you do this speed the whole way to the bahamas , but i think you will be running between 25-33 knots and wont want to go any slower.

Why not wait and fish the Bahamian bank rather than drag lures out in the middle of nowhere. IMHO I would think that fishing the drop off would be more successful than the middle of the stream. Then again always keep your eyes peeled for sign. Bait busting, birds working etc and fish the sign.

Ya i agree with jerry, u dont wanna just blindly pick a place in the middle of the stream to wet ur lines.....wait till u find somthing....birds, floatsom, etc. If you dont see anyhting out in the middle your sure to find action on the edge of the bank.
