Apart from the great fishing from Freeport/Lucaya another advantage in the winter months is that the prevailing wind is from the North and Northeast, leaving the southern shore of Grand Bahama relatively protected. Unlike the Abacos and even Bimini, in the Winter you can still get out to fish from Grand Bahama.

The Yellowfins have already arrived and the Wahoo are starting to move in with the latest front - water is still a little warm but should a lot cooler in the next two or three weeks.

We are positioned in Grand Bahama at Port Lucaya for this late Fall and Winter season at the Grand Bahama Yacht Club. In addition to the great fishing there are lots of things to do in the evenings at the Port Lucaya Marketplace and the Casino.
