Trolled out of Boynton today, fishing was pretty good off the start, catching a tuna and bonita shortly underway, after 30 minutes in deeper water a ballyhoo skirt combo got nailed on the
Downrigger and after a 7 or 8 minute fight a big cuda popped up about 25 pounds, in the boat he came, trolled for another 25 minutes and another hit this time on the lure, reeled it up, another cuda, this one in the teens. We started to troll back in when we spotted three little plastic bottles floating, once we got close a huge cargo net sat below the three bottles, on the first pass we had a double hook up, one being a small wahoo being 8 or 9 pounds and a dolphin which jumped off at the strike est. 20 pounds., we worked the structure for thirty more minutes only producing another 20+ pound cuda and a big bonita which was released, and decided to call it a day. Weird with all the cudas especially in 800', but A guy at the dock caught a thirty pound wahoo trolling and a 30 pound cobia anchored up. The fish are out there catch em up...
