well a week ago i was trying to plan something to do for the thanks giving break. i tried to go skiing that did not work out so my dad finally offered me to come back home to the cayman islands i was so happy.
i got in Friday night got all the gear back together and we headed out that Saturday the 22end for a quick trip to make sure the boat was working it was blowing about 30 knots and the south side was the only place we could fish. we had a couple of wahoo strikes but no luck. Tuesday showed 4 to 6 feet with 15 to 20 knots but we went out any way to 12 mile bank we got there about 630 and right after i put the lines out the wire went screaming we get the fish up pretty quick and hes 48 pounds so we are all excited but quickly put the lines back out right after we turn around and hit the same spot we get a double header 10 minutes later we have 2 nice fish about 25 and 30. the bite slowed down for a little while and we headed to the other side of the bank the west end where we got another one about 20 pounds. 4 fish in 4 hours with 20 gallons is pretty good. wensday the weather showed to be even worst but we went back to the bank again and had four more fish but they were smaller 10 to 25 but still a great day 4 hours and only burned 13 gallons of gas. Saturday the weather drops out to 1 to 3 feet 10 to 15 knots but my alternator is giving problems so we took my friends 14 foot panga out and got a 38 pound wahoo and only burned 4 gallons of gas it. we also out fished about 10 boats down there from 38 interpids to 25 foot makos where out there fishing in a tournament and we out fished them it was pretty funny them laughing at the small boat and then asking what they had and they had nothing lol. was a great thanks giving for me cant wait to come back for Christmas |
