Not to much to report today. It was a bit sloppy and the gogs were not cooperating in the port this morning. Everyone else seemed to be getting them but me.
Headed out to the second row of bouys to the south of PE and got some nice speedos and a few Hoos, and for good measure, four keeper yellow tail, then headed for the deeper water.
It was running about 3-5's with an ocassional 6, with a period that kept my boat (only 20') riding nice and not diving into the next wave.
Got to about 120' and threw out 6 lines for trolling. Two hoos with black and silver skirts on the riggers. I put two more hoos and the short lines with pink and blue popper skirts and a pink and blue skirted hoo on the down rigger at about 25'. Threw a featherd jig on a spinner for good measure.
Got two about 700 foot and the starbord rigger pops off and fish on!
Never had any jumps and didn't make any big runs, so I had no idea what it was until I got it to the boat. I see a nice flash of blue, purple and silver stripes, Wahoo!!
Got the gaff in his head and in the boat.
I got very lucky with the hook and flurocarbon leader.
Take a look at the hook placement.

Could not ask for a better set.
So, even though that was pretty much it for the day, I still call it good.
