Default Wahoo Challenge Leg 3 pics

Well it was another fun trip, lovely run from Nassau on the Thursday, we went west from north Andros and pre-fished Riding rock, caught a couple and trolled all the way north to Bimini. Figured that was the place to go on Friday day 1, we were the last boat out of the channel at 6 am, watched all the other boats head north and figured we had it to ourslves down south..... Well about 40 mins later we are bumping along at 30kts into a pretty good head sea when WHOMP WHOMP and who should go literally flying by but SAVANNA-LYNN headed south too. Hmmmmm. Following me, huh, Billy? Ayway we only caught one fish day 1, never made it down to Orange as it was so rough.

Day 2 was calmer and better fishing, Orange cay was going off, us and one other boat were down there. Here's a few shots, who knew Kingfish hit hi-speed lures? Couldn't shake to wretched barracudas at 16kts either

The new 300 Suzukis ran flawlessly, the boat picked up 10 kts accross the board, but they also seemed to burn a tad more fuel than the old 225 Yammys...... Special thanks to Top Vee for picking up one of our crew after we found ourselves adrift with a 'fuel aquasition' issue and especially NATIVE SON for taking the time to ferry out 30 gallons to get us back home. We had some nice fish but missed the weigh in, oh, well.

Petro/orange was a hot color this trip-

hi-speed trolling

sunset adrift...

Finally congrats to Billy and Savanna-Lynn on a well deserved win

Alan

yeah, a little too much effort, perhaps. We were only off by 21 gallons....

Nice pics Islandshark !!!
I love those 300 Suzukis & they sip the fuel.

Too bad you could not make it to Orange Day 1. (I heard it was insane.)
I know of at least 5 boats that fished S day 2, but may have been "out of sight.".

Bummer on fuel, way nice that Artie (fishing Top Vee) could help out. Karma is a powerful thing, and folks at sea really need to HELP one another. (nice job Artie to get em back to dock)

Way to go Savanna Lynn on ANOTHER awesome victory. Could this be the first team in HISTORY to sweep to major Bahamas Wahoo Tourneys in the same year??

If wins all the fun fish again at Baccardi, i say we vote "BILLY FOR PRESIDENT !!"

PS:What happened to Harry Klauber & crew ??

I am not a tournament fisherman, nor are any of the fellows that fish with me. We make all of our trips during the week and will be in Bimini Tue-Thur of next week. It sure looks like that S/Lynn crew has it down pat. Congrats on another win. Harry
