Default West End - Wahoo Challenge

Last year was pretty impressive over at Old Bahama Bay in West End. The guys crushed the wahoo over there including a 95# and a 90#. Plus there was plenty of fish in the 50# range.

From reports, the bite this year has been better than last year so I expect some big fish to hit the docks.

Check these out from last year:
"Nothin's Wild's" 95.5 pounder

Someone say "filet?"

E-Money and DieselPower cameo (E-Money ius

90# didn't even fit in the picture!

Local team "Predator" with some nice fish.

Cloudnine, I believe the "meltdown" comments stem from some friendly "trash talking" between the Nothings Wild (Shockwave) Team and the leader of the pack Billy ("Savannah Lynn"). While Savannah Lynn DOMINATED the first leg, Nothing's Wild (as you remember) had an incredible catch for leg 2, while other competitors had "not so much" on the luck.

This is shaping up to be an interesting event. Maybe we will see Cloud Nine roll up in a 42 Yellowfin??

Cloudnine might have to "slum it" in a 42 YellowFin!! Some guys have it rough...

As far as registrations go, we have the usual suspects plus a few new boats I, myself, am not familiar with like "Lady J" (45 Viking), "Semi-True Story" (45 Cabo, "On the Edge" (47 Riviera), "Gregarious" (68 Viking), "Reel Diamond" (64 Viking), etc. etc. None of these boats have fished this series so they are new to me. If the weather cooperates, I see a 25+ turnout easily.

What's with all the Vikings? Are they giving them away?

doug a melt down is when you wear your reels out on a good bite and they get hot from line dumping off basicly the fish are there
i believe you had a melt down last year
?2
btw tony why dont you make the last leg a no holds bar no boundry shootout since everyone else is scared but me,nothingswild, and who daddy are techniclly in the over all ?
i really believe you'd have the priemier event the reason shaptman and alot of others don't fish
maybe thats why the king fish tournaments have boundrys
my $.2

Im all for no boundrys i think combining the boundrys of the first two legs really does nothing because west end boundrys are to far we need to open it up toward the south
my reels are in the shop from the last melt down really
rusty
nothin's wild

Well, I won't be fishing the west-end boundaries during the championship leg; too far for me (in the time allowed). I find my odds increase when I have lines in the water

Rusty, what is the name of the manufacture of your boat (if you don't mind)

I have a 1 room + 1 slip deal for $1000 for anyone that wants it.
(3 nights and does not incl. water and elec for the slip)
This is about $1600 with the taxes, so you can save $600.

I only have 1. First email to me gets it: tony@oceanpromotions.com

To Ben:

Sorry you can't make it.
I was talking w my buddy Bill at Fisherman's Center, and hear some of the captains have been calling in for reports.

Best of luck all to the teams & like Cap't Billy says, dull hooks & slack lines.
