Default Recommendation for Marina / Staying in Bimini for 'Hooing

I just brought my boat back from Bimini after keeping it at Big John's for nearly all of November. The newly built docks there are absolutely beautiful, with underwater lights that attract cuttlefish, goggle eyes, tarpon and all kinds of other cool critters at night. The dockmaster there, "Dreamer", is also positively the nicest, most curteous, hard working dockmaster that I've ever met. And...it's literally easy, short stumbling distance from the bar ...a good thing after a few Kaliks or rum & cokes!!! This is not a paid endorsement, but I would recommend considering keeping your boat there. The rooms are also very nice--flat screen tv's, cable, etc..only word of caution is that the rooms over the bar vibrate a bit when the band plays, but I actually found it soothing after a long day of fishing and a few cocktails The band stopped playing at 1 or 1:30 every night and if I wasn't still up, I had no problem sleeping thru it

Been to Bimini many times but haven't heard of Big Johns. Where is it and which bar are you referring to? Thanks.

It's where the Golf Cart rental is; between the about half way to the End of the World.

I saw the construction going on last June...looked like there was a long way to go! so they are actually done??? on Bimini???

Next thing you know, the Compleat Angler mark II will be built!

Big John's is just beside (north) the End of the World bar--can't miss it at night with all the underwater lights along the seawall and the only place they have a band most weekends

The condos at Brown's have not been built yet, but the rooms at Big John's are very nice to rent if the band immediatley below you doesn't bother you
