Agreed.
If it was in Sebastian or Ft. Pierce, I would be in. I just can't do 3 days of tournament time, and add the canaveral trip to both sides of the event. Good luck to all who fish it.

You do know that they'll let you drive by car to the captains meeting and leave by boat from your home port don't you? This is a big savings. You only have to go to PC for the weigh-in. Last time I fished it I moved my boat to Canaveral, fished the tourney then took the boat home a week later. But at the event I found out that they allowed boats to leave from their home port - as long as you showed up for the captains meeting (by land)

Cloud 9,
Yeah, I knew about the home port takeoff deal. It is more the Sunday am trip home and clean up that will waste the rest of that day. I would prefer to trailer to the Port, and pull a cork at Rusty's during the meeting and then slow motor to the promised land during the evening. If I had a big boat with sleeping room and a hearty crew, it would be a great adventure. But, an open fisherman with a crew that is better at drinking beer and napping in a bean bag than running a boat makes too much work for me on a 3 day adventure. Heck, I'm still worn out from the last tournament we fished in the Bahamas. I should be more selective in choosing my crew for the tournaments. Next year we will get more serious and make plans for a strategic assault on the Otherside Tournament.
