Default Lucaya

Just got back from Lucaya. Found plenty of life and plenty of rain. Everyday it rained in the middle of the day, but fortunately the YFT bite was good late...especially from 7-8pm. We fished only one morning, and found plenty of Dolphin. Every afternoon we caught YFTs up to 50#s or so, and had shots at fish upwards of 70#s. Sharks were a definate player in our losses. There are a lot of theories about what to use, but the one guarantee is you have to go when the fish are biting. We hooked fish on everything from naked balleyhoo to Black Barts. WWFB is the key. Pix on Tuna gallery. Both my boys landed good fish...my 10 and 9 year old boys - nothings better!

We just returned from our small tournament in Green Turtle. Not very fishy over there last week. We had 24 boats with very experienced anglers, and had very few big fish wieghed. Top 3 tunas were under 80lbs, then the wieghts dropped pretty hard to the 30's for 6th place. A rogue hoo at 50lbs and top dolphin went into the 40's. Overall, not a lot of fish getting caught over there last week. Hopefully it picks up a bit for the next tourny.

Certifiable, some friends of mine fished north of the corner yesturday and did OK. Wahoos, phins, and "some" tuna. I guess they had a good YFT get scaled under the boat. They didn't get a bait in the water until 9:00. I was planning on going, but got a little issue with my stbd engine...only turns up to 4400 ...new O2 sensor and plugs??? Guess she is going to yamaha next. Any experience with OX66s? PM me if so.

check the tubes, that o2 sensor will be good and if the tubes are blocked you wont get the rpms and burn a ton of fuel.

Thanks Jerry, I'll check it out. With my fuel management, the other motor is burning more fuel and oil.

Great fish!!
I'm heading over there in a week. What depths were you fishing and how far from Lucaya did you have to run?
I only get over there once a year so any info is helpful.
