Ya Mon:
So you are fishing. I would like to hear about your crossing, one day. Been windy aaay? Another day of this, now that you are there you will be Island sylin. ![]() That reminds me to stock up on the Chef Paul's Blackened redfish Magic: it goes great on, well, redfish, not to mention tuna, swordfish, dolphin. I suppose just about any type of fish you may introduce into the equation. Se ya, on the sunny side.

Tough go last week - stiff winds. We got one good run out of Lucaya, picked up a little over a dozen blackfin as a consolation prize, but with all of the 3-4' chop and whitecaps we couldn't make much headway nor see too many birds. I really wanted to head farther southeast to the canyons - but couldn't do it this time around.
Our other consolation prize was a couple of dozen lobsters over the other days.![]() Anyway, we've got a good setup for making runs and we think we're going to make more trips as our wallets allow. Rent a condo in Lucaya, private dock, I take my boat over and the rest of the crew rides over in someone's small airplane. Definitely a better go of it this way than trying to stay at Lucaya Marina where they establish new levels of apathy everyday.Chummer |

Hi I am a newbie here, Certainly no expert but had my share of good luck as well as as bad. Lot of great advice here. My boat is in Stuart and we were thinking of leaving Sat well before daylight to get N of Mantinella point around daybreak. I have always fished from the Bahamas as a base but given the new rules I was going to try and fish from Stuart and back if weather permits. I figured it would be worth a shot. the plan is to to work west of Mantinella working our way north and east staying out of Bahamian waters looking for Tuna then head for the barn around noonish looking for signs on the way home.....Well I'llgive it a shot and see what happens...I'll let you know what happens when we get back.
