Blackfin Tuna Are HERE!

Well we decided to have to do some tuna fishing before heading out to the sword grounds. We loaded up on pilchards at government cut and setup in about 170 feet and started live chumming.

In about 15 minutes we had a double header and boated 2 blackfins both over 25 lbs.

We did one more drift and got 2 more in the same pound range!!!

Starting to get dark so we headed out to the sword grounds and setup shop. Got a bite in the first 5 minutes of lines in and turned out to be a monster hammerhead shark that kept us on it for over an hour and a half.. bummer.

Reset and not a bite and call it early...

4 Blackfins in the boat and we were all happy.

nice work ST we wished all the bonita we had were blackfins
