Tuna Yellow Fins at the Corner

Went last weekend with some buddies and caught 9 Yellow fin. 2 around 45 and the rest like 20-30#. WE WERE THE ONLY BOAT OVER THERE!!! The weather was perfect too! A great day trip with some great guys. And to top it all off, I caught the coolest wahoo I have ever seen!! We were jigging next to a cargo net and brought up two of them!

Nice work, good eats.

That weehoo looks like an awesome sword bait.

Default belly strips

Took a couple of them, but didn't get a chance to tryem. Used one bonita and it got removed from the hook somehow Got the fish on a live mullet and a mackeral. Bet the wehoo would have worked as good as the mackeral like cap't Juan suggested. Guess we'll never know

Thumbs up

Outstanding! Thanks for sharing the report.

Were the schools thinned out and hard to find?

In years past around this time of year, the pickings were thin. We wouldn't see many tuna (skips, BF, etc) but the ones we'd hook up on were nice.

Tuna Fins aplenty

First pack we fished about 10nm north produced a quad on the first pass and downhill from there. moved towards the bank 3-4 miles and found some decent fish busting pretty good, got one right away then it was hard fishing after that, moving fast hard to get them behind the boat same ole same ole. definately better than it has been.
