Default VB REPROT TUNA & MAHI VIDEO 8/3/05

Crew: Bill Bogue, Dave Wolfram, Jimmy K., Raymond Rhodes & Myself.

Left Lynnhaven inlet 3:30 am and ran just before the tip of the canyon, set out a Jimmy K. All Naked Spread (Guacamoles, Split Bills, Skippers, Etc.), before the third line gets out, Fish On... Battle on TLD 25, 30 lb test, 90 lb leader, YFT beside the boat, leader broke while leadering the fish.

We trolled into the canyon where we caught a few mahi, but no bills to be seen by us, we covered a fair amount of the canyon before deciding to run back to the tip and troll west, fish on YFT in the box. A little while later and another YFT, some bailing on a board, still no billfish.

Heard a report of a billfish bite at the 30 fathom finger, so we picked up and ran south. We put the lines in and fish on, another YFT. We trolled around a while and had a White one bite the long rigger dropped back 3 times , but it didn't get hooked up.

Started trolling west, found a board and bailed a few more mahi.

Picked up at 4:20, ran back to Lynnhaven arrived at 5:50, the boat walked the dog at 43 mph all the way in, stayed dry and had flat seas. We ran a total of 220 miles and burned 160 gallons of fuel.

What can I say, it was a great crew, everyone worked together and we had a great time.

Final Talley - 4 YFT, 39 Mahi
