overnight tuna trip

Fished with Tim's crew on an overnight trip last Friday night. Sea's were less than ideal. 2-4 felt more like 5-6. Fishing was a little slow but we managed 12 or 13 blackfin and three yellowfin. One yellow was 93 lbs, one was 80 lbs and the other about 50 lbs! Blackfin were taken on glowing jigs and all yellows on cut blackfin!

This week we still have Sunday-(First day of snapper season), Monday and Tuesday open if anyone wants a little tuna, snapper and AJ action. The fishing is getting better every week. Over all, pretty good right now. The AJ's that we are catching are 40-60 pounds average and the snapper we have caught are beautiful. The mangroves are there for the taken as well!

This weekend should be beautiful! They are calling for 1-3 Saturday all the way thru Tuesday. The Tuna are getting fired up, this weekend will be the best opportunity in a while to focus on the tuna! With 1-3 ft seas, we will be able to make the long runs to the floaters with no problem!
