5/18 boca blackfin

Just got home for a few days. Headed out with my brother, cousin, cousin's wife, and a friend of my brothers. We were able to put the girls on some tough fish. Ended up getting one decent king to the boat, cut off by many others. Landed two nice blackfins (the first one had some weight to it) north of Boca Inlet in about 100 ft. Also missed a sail and some other miscellaneous hits. Would have fished until sunset but called it around 6 so we could get to eating.

AHI!! Nice blackfin

Just as good as yellowfin when eaten like that in my opinion. And you didn't have to burn 300 gals. good job

Ivan - Caught them on gogs on the kite.
Nightcrawler - what boat were you on? Did you fish yesterday?

Might go swording tonight or tomorrow.

awsome job, I need to learn how to kite fish, I tried a day drop yesterday @ 2200, 2000 , 1800 I reel by hand so I was wiped out after that current was ripping fast used 12 pounds still very hard to tell if hit bottom for sure.

sword bite was slow, came back in trolled boca and picked up a king & a barracuda , wind changed so we droped a few reefs an caught a 6 foot pound nurse shark crazy day but fun day
