The Yellow fin did not show up. There were a few Blackfins caught by the Haley Ryan and the Skin Boat. The trolling was OK with a few nice dolphin caught. The best fishing seemed to be the deep dropping for yellow eye snapper. We also caught a bunch of smaller yellow tail snapper on the reef.

Geez Richard, what about ours.

Our 15 lb Black Fin was the slob of the group. Thanks to the team work of Kyle and Bill.

No yellowfins for us, just 5 skippies. They were there, but spooked easily and were moving very fast. Next time.... We did manage to find a few nice dolphin and we caught our limit on yelloweyes each day.

Nothing was better this trip then seeing Butch the Polar bear dirtyfoot do a Jimmy superflysnooka jump on top of the 45Lb Phin we caught on the way home. I wish I had that on video.I gaffed the fish deep as it was headed under the boat.I had to reach as far down with one hand to reach the fish. When I hit it he realized he was in trouble and about ripped the gaff out of my hand when he took off.I pulled hard and got my other hand on the gaff and said he is a little bigger then I thought.I lift him over the gunnle wishing I had grabbed the bigger gaff. The fish hit the deck and went nuts.It slapped me a few times on the leg leaving some nice bruises.I still had the gaff in it and has trying it work the fish to the corner. Then the Polar bear came in.The fish came off the gaff and then Butch did a flying belly flop on top of this big fin. There is no way to decribe except for awsome. It looked like he flew of the top ring rope. When the Polar bear hit the deck we all flew up about 3 inches off the deck.

The Polar bear made short work of the struggling phin and soon had it by the throat in a death grip just like a good Polar bear should. We trolled a bit more to find a huge weedline that was full of 5lb phins. We picked about 10 of those then headed in nice seas.

So you may be asking why I am calling Dirtyfoot Butch the Polar bear now?Well on Sun Morning it started to rain a little at the dock.So butch put on his White grundy's with the hood up.Well if you saw him from the side bent over picking up a cooler all you saw was this huge white hulk with nothing but his bright red beard showing. It looked just like the animal channel when they show a Polar bear just after he ate a seal with blood all over his face. So long live the Polar bear
