The place looks good, particularly the pool area. Where exactly is it and where is the boat dockage? How much per night and how many people can you get in a unit?

I like a place where your boat and tackle are secure and you can leave rods in the rod holders without worrying that they are going to "walk". Are the rooms at Pelican Bay 1 or are there 2 bedrooms for $100 per night? If they are one bedrooms and you need two plus dockage its not much of a deal over Blue Marlin cove where they are $350 a night including dockage and you get free ice.

I have to agree with Bajakian, the place looks like a nice place. Having the boat right in front of the rooms is preferable tho. Schleppin gear to and fro is always a pain. It's definately doable but still a pain. Are the slip fees included in the room costs? Most places over there charge ya $2.50 a foot with a min 35'. There's a "C" note a day right there. Add 2 rooms and we are at the same deal. Course then ya got free ice for 4 days and two free dinners and do they have a free open bar? I know I can drink and that one scored big for me. I will definately keep that place in mind for future trips, it does look very nice indeed. But for this trip BMC seems to be the ticket. Who knows... if the fishing is off the hook I may never need to go anywhere else... heh. Thanx for the pics, its always nice to be able to check out other options.

it is 1 room with 2 beds per room for $100 and there are only 2 marinas in lucaya port lucaya and the 1 you have to ferry to cant remember the name, port lucaya is the closest 1 is it like 200 yards away. i would not leave gear out at night at either of the marinas and there is an ice machine on every floor you can fill up as many buckets as u want and walk it to the boat!!!!

Baj,
I am all set with a great sports surgeon. The tuna trip is only 2 days after my proceedure, so I will not be mobile for a few more days. after that, I will be happily driving the boat and barking orders to the crew. They don't call Captain Blye for nothing.

FYI, got a report from a friend that knows somebody .......the Yellowfins are showing up at West End. The report said 6 fish to 60lbs.
The birds are starting to come back to the area, and we should be able to "spin em up" on the radars anytime now.

We did not find them Friday morning in the canyon, but we did go 2 for 4 on the way home yesterday about 20 miles southwest of West End.

Is that a serious report or a joke? If so I'd love to hear the report, where and how you hooked him and any other information you care to share. You probably catch them like that all the time, but I dont. Please spill the beans!! Do you have any pictures? And BTW Bravo!
