Default Tarpon from Veracruz, Mexico, migrating North in Summer

Hello, this is my first post in the forum, I would like to comment about Tarpon being tagged in Veracruz, Mexico. Satellite tags have shown that these fish, most weighing over 150 lb, migrate North to Texas, Louisiana, Florida, and one satellite tag was recovered from South Carolina.

Interesting data also shows that ALL of the tarpon tagged prefer 26°C, clear water, and prefer the surface in the day, and the bottom at night. This information is processed by Dr. Ault, from the University of Miami.

Tarpon in veracruz average 190 lb, so fishing is great in May and June.

Hmmm, thats odd. Thats the exact same time the tarpon are here in West Florida, and in the Keys pretty much. HOw can the peak seasons be the same on opposite sides of the Gulf if they are crossing? (which I believe they are)
