I have 2 Penn II 50's on glass rods with metal butts. Reels are in good condition and rods are fine. A little beefy, but good for swording. $325 each which would be a cheap way to get started.

I have a match pair Shimano Tiagra 50W LRS on Pacific Bay & spooled with Ande line on custom Bent butt rods if interested..Some pitting nothing that bad at all see pics.. More pics if needed available
