The method of allowing the reel to recover the line may not be "sporty", but the electric method fits the task of that fishery. I have never been one to praise a rod & reel angler, seems to me that with the correct drag setting and terminal gear it is just a game of time to catch a fish of any size. 9 times out of 10 it is the Captain operating the vessel who is responsible for the capture.

When I hear of a large fish being caught, my thoughts immediatly turn to praise the man who located, wired and gaffed/harpooned the fish. Not the warm blooded cranking device strapped to a reel. Those phases of the sport remain in the electric reel fishing method.

I have already stated that we should proceed with this fishery in a responsible manner. Those who have said that they will never fish at night again worry me.
I guess you have to have been around awhile to understand. This is 100% right.I like the warm blooded cranking device So true.As my dad would call them danglers.

omfg that's hilarious.

As far as "targeting and killing breaders". For christ sake! What are you guys targeting at night? The little guys? I'm after Shammo! Free Willy! King Kong! People kill big girls at night too.
And now how 'bout this... if they were catching pups in the gaytime, you guys would be bitching about how they are killing pups! I mean good lord.

I'm not saying the gaytime/electric thing is right or wrong. I'm in the middle(yea I know... you have to pick sides here).

Well guys, I am gonna let you all in on a little secret I have been working on, but havent perfected just yet, have a few minor timing isues . I am not gonna make you all pay me $10 or even $25 for this top secret info.

So here it goes: I have been working on a new type of break away sled to send down to the bottom, I just cant get it down in time without it breaking away to soon Anyway if anyone has any suggestions on how to slow the burn time down, we will be in business and can just sit back drink beer and wait till they float up. Hows that for sporting boys See below for new sled design!!

Enough And if you space 2 or 3 of these new sleds apart, you can work diffferent depths very effectively on one drop if you can get them to break away in order
