the one that got everything started to our already frustrating fishing lives and leading us to a downward spiral of shame when coming home empty handed to the family, but I still love that purple whore! my brother to the left (lcagator)

Oh, and it that brings back memories: also remember when I finally got to reel one in myself on the original Italian Stallion (FinalPoint w/the turbo-diesels). This was not the first swordfish aboard this vessel, but it was the biggest thus far, and the first one hooked in the dorsal fin. That was a fun fish to get into the boat because of the way it was hooked. ![]() That was in 2004 with a 125 lb. swordfish. (Middle of summer) Then, of course there is also the first daytime swordfish in the boat on the Hailey Ryan: fast forward to the year 2007, with a 290 lb. swordfish. (Calm DAY in late September between weather systems.) ![]() Oh, those sweet memories. Hopefully many more to be cherished after the first one.
