My wife just made me clean out the closet and told me I could sell you as many coat hangers as you need for $110 apiece. I know you will probably need some hooks and mono too, but I think I can throw that part in too. PM me if you need some. They are all metal, not the ones with the cardboard dohickie on the bottom, so you know the quality is there.

Default For a while there, I thought that maybe you were at the meeting!

Johnny:

For a while there, I thought that maybe you were at the meeting!

I guess you think that you got me all figured out, don't you? And everyone else too.

Just got off the phone with Kenny. He had mentioned something to me about a post you had done, mentioning the SSC meeting and me with a fighting belt on, rumming it up like it were water, while having tackle box, will travel. I was suddenly thinking, how did you manage to talk to my wife or her cousin last night?

Because as it turned out, I did walk in the door early this morning, the wife and cousin were still up, in party mode. And Melissa asked me why I had my fighting belt on? (The small leather kind.) D'oh, I still had it on and still soaking wet from the massive drenching we had last night. So much fresh water coming down, we probably did not need to rinse the equipment afterward.

Anyway, good funny post. I will take it that you were not fishing that evening.

Dude, you missed a good fish club meeting. And I thought that you may even show up to Professor O's with some tuna in hand too?

I learned a few things from RJ on his deep dropping styles.

Last night we decided to give it a go, but after sun down. I rigged up a tandem bottom rig, and let her go down easy. Before we finally got pinched by the storms, we had passed the 2000 FSW mark. Could not touch bottom, yet, probably because we were sounding 2500+ FSW. We decided to head out for the Roffer's break, way out in the middle of the ditch, a/k/a Kenny's Pond.

Our night terminated early, due to the rain, nix that, cumulonimbus and lightning. And WOW: what a light show with stereophonic thunderous sounds! I was looked behind to the east as we were mushing foreward back west. Why bother being scared, there is nothing you can do about being zapped, other than staying home and posting on the inter-net. But I was much cooler on-vessel, and in rare form. As a matter of fact, I was actually cold because I forgot my foul weather jacket. I think I left it by the fireplace, next to the sparkplugs & emergency repair kit.

Needless to say, Goose eggs on the eastern fringes, even though we had a good spread going. I was naively optimistic, that we will get our Tuna one time on the Darkside and by patrolling the bottom half of the water column.

RT, I was out last night too down south. We got out late so we fished through the downpour, 2-4 ft chop, and lightning strikes for 4 hours. We stuck it out and got picked apart by critters and fish that just didn't get hooked good in the process. Thank God BF wasn't at the helm during the squall, He would have run over all my buoys. Lots of whacked off squid, missing baits, and globs of squid pus. Our hooks were plenty sharp so i dont know why we didn'y hook anything til the end. It just seems to happen like that some nights. We pulled our gear in just when the bite turned back on at 4:30, other boats out there reported fish around that time. My friends were fishing the brightside and had to be home early. I would say the buoy guys already caught them all, but I just think WE just plain sucked. Other boats were catching them. That's fishing. We released one legal fish that came unglued boatside right when we were done picking up our gear How are we doing?

RT,

We got stuck in that storm as well, it was pretty nutty. Heard the antennas buzzing most of the ride.

Default Free light show.

Thanks for the report POD and the early a.m. bite alert. We decided to fish a place we had never been before so the results were to be an expected unknown. Arrgh, sometimes we don't catch fish in the places we are familiar with too. And since it has apparently been slow lately, we thought that we may slide around a bit and see how it goes farther east. In a way, it would have been better to fish longer until the early a.m. too, but a Saturday recovery day was not a good option, too much stuff on the plate right now.

Pretty cool reports on the Sunburnt tournament too. Maybe Vinnie knows something about catching fish in the daytime that we don't.

Tek, you wanna see Jim's email reply to that? I'll sent it to you in am. I don't want you to wake up Mia and Shelby from laughing so hard.
As far as the prince. He's doing well. Funny guy. Banned? Far from it
