Default North Carolina Swordfishing

I am totally new to the swordfishing game and looking for some info on rigs hooks etc. I know there are tons of posts about rigs on here put I could not find any diagrams. Is there one on here that anyone knows about? We are gonna be daytime swordfishing since i do not feel safe being 70 miles offshore overnight in a 23 foot center console. Also what kind of depth or structure do you look for? I have some sort of idea but looking to get some advice from the people who do it all the time. There have been several caught up here in the past couple weeks at night and I do not see why you would not have a decent shot during the day. Thanks for the help!

Ok..I'm gonna turn you guys on to something very very cool, free online professionally produced fishing tutorials . These new HowTo sites have thousands of videos on any thing you can could possibly want to learn about and it's all free. Newsweek had an article last month on these sites and I found one of them, Expertvillage.com had MANY awesome videos on fishing gear and techniques. The site has hundreds of categories on things like installing a garage door opener, playing guitar, how to break dance..you name. and especially for the SFC crew there are like 20 videos on making beer..

Anyway they have 21 videos on offshore fishing tips, rigs, trolling, laws, heavy tackle..you name it. For any video you have to watch a 30 second intro commercial..not too much for what is often a five minute tutorial.

The one bad thing is the site search engine is often busy or time outs. Knowning a little about google let me search for 'offshore fishing site:expertvillage.com'. So that provides this link at Expert Village

Well worth a visit.
