hey guys, dude to tell you the truth I was super impressed with the amount of respect shown on this forum. For the first 3000 views and 100 comments I was pretty much blown away. Since then I see a few of you and you know who you are that are nothing but freakin jealous. How does using an electric reel somwhow make you a bad guy. I have cut my teeth catching Blue, black anbd stripe marlin all over the world and to tell you the truth the part of reeling them in I could let any donkey do that but the art of getting the bite and hooking them up is what we are all after. If you watch my video I don't brag about a grueling battle but I had an idea to catch one during the day and we did. He was well with in the legal slot and we let him go. I appreciate all the killer comments of the guys out there that saw it for what it was and said "cool bro" I don't get anything out of posting on this forum. None of you guys are paying me and none of you ever will. I was stoke out of my mind to see this sword during the day and I thought it would be cool to show. Sorry about the mix up on the tv today. It was aired on fox wflx at 7:30 am but for the rest of the week it will be on all our other channels.
by the way! I released over 70 blue marlin, 18 black marlin and 7 stripe marlin this past year and to see that little sword that we caught on an electric reel swim away right next to me trumped them all. tight lines guys! look forward to fishing with some of you real soon. Robert Arrington |

Good show Robert. I have tried this a few times off Jupiter and after reeling in a few 12lb weights from 1600', I am starting to see the attraction of the Kristal!

Espada I was'nt trying to ridicule 123 I was pointing out that sporty has different connotations. Who was complaining about the electric reel in the first place?Anyway 123 nice going on the 230 & 236 on the same night that werent eaten!

No we did'nt raft up. I ran 1/2 mile to his south when we set up but the wind and current moved us pretty fast. We made 3 drops definately got to the bottom but no bites. Need to work on technique. I think I know what to do different the next time.

I want to congratulate you guys for this awesome angling feat. I know have a new thing to go for, and I'm starting this weekend. Never done it, but some friends of mine who have fished Venezuela have seen how they do it. I'm going to start asking around. Any tips without giving it all up?
