Get this story guys and gals.I have a guy I work with that I have either hooked up on trips or taken him and his son with me fishing 50 times.I went with him to buy his first boat.I caught his son 99% of all his first fish including dolphins, wahoos, sailfish, snapper, grouper and even a blue marlin
One day while fishing offshore of Boynton his boat starts to sink.I managed to get the boat to shore and get everything and everyone off before she rolls over.I have hooked him up with friends and many fishing trips from the keys to the islands..Ran his next boat over to the Islands for him several times and always put him on fish till he could not reel any more.So he asked my last week to find a charter for him and his son next Sat.I make a few calls and get something basically set up.I tell him on Mon and I was out on Tues.So he tells me this morning he booked a trip out of Hills on a boat.I think ok no problem. Then I hear him talking to another guy at work telling him to be at the boat at 6:30 and to tell the other guys. So I say to him I did not know this was a company trip.He says he did not ask me because he did not think I wanted to pay to go on a boat when I go for free with friends all the time(free except for gas and bait).Maybe I am over reacting but I don't think so.Yes he did get me my interview here 10yrs ago but that debt has been repaid 1000 times over.Buy the way 2 of the other guys I took fishing on my boat before. One guy I even got a swordfish .So I think I should have not only gotten invited but got a free ride.Come on they are going anyway so if I went it would not have cost them anymore then it is now. I have asked him to go swording several times as well.Even if I had to pay I think not being invited was insulting. I wish I worked with people like my SFC family. So am I being a baby or did they do me dirty?

I wish I knew who he was fishing with because I would relay this story to him.Can you say sorry guys must not be biting today.
Another side note I got the name of a west coast guide from Nick C that got him and his wife there first redfish last year. Then a couple months ago he and his son go with that guide for tarpon and his son gets one close to 200lbs (his 2nd tarpon because I hooked him up with one in Bimini)and he gets one about 70lbs his first. Did I forget to mention he makes the most money of any one in the company!High 6 figures at least.I fish with some guys that dont have a pot to piss in or a window to throw it out of and I have to force them to take gas money sometimes ![]() It goes to show that money does not buy you class.

If you spent as much time with your co-workers as you do here you might have been invited
how do you think they felt when you went out last week on a boat with more than enough room quit bitchen and get back to work

WOW took you a whole three minutes to respond
you need to work more Sorry Quackers I do not feel bad for ya, we get to fish whenever we want and have multiple rides on any given night due to the great SFC family, you should think these guys wanted to get out and fish and it is as simple as that, now if there is more to why they did not invite you that is something different but I am sure they just figured you would not want to go on a charter when you can fish on a private boat just by picking up the phone and making a call not being a smart azz just stating the true

Quack Quack:
I think you may just be over reacting to this situation. You provided a laundry list of how you have helped this person out and also many fishing experiences together, etc. This person probably knows that you fish often with a host of other friends, etc. He probably just wanted to do the charter and split the costs, etc. with others. Many times a crew gets invited: sometimes for networking opportunities or perhaps a selection of people with personalities taken into consideration. My suggestion is to chill on this one Relax, deep breathe, Bahamas on your mind... ; But if you do want to be invited next time, just talk to him to suggest that you would like to be included the next time a trip comes together. It was probably just a harmless situation. Maybe he just wanted to try fishing without the Master, , to see if he could still catch a fish. Now, if he doesn't offer you some swordfish steaks after that trip, now you should get mad and start calling him names. Scary post: for a moment there, I was concerned that perhaps you may have been repremanded for doing things (or not doing things work related) at work, that you should be doing on your personal time. Good to know it was only because you did not get invited to go fishing with the guy that you have helped so many times before. Or maybe he was really trying to piss you off. , but that would be the conspiracy theory. Now stop reading all these posts and get back to work, before history repeats it self.

Yup thats a smack in da face. By past record alone he should know you'd jump at the chance. Now ya know what kind of schmoelick your dealin with. As far as the $ issue goes, money don't catch fish or friends....Wouldn't trade any of my workin class fishin friends for a dude w/ a big wallet
