What's up Ray?
When the sabikis aren't working, a small tipped jig works well for me.

A little piece of gulp strip on the sabikis works wonders.

Could you elaborate on that at all?

We've done that a few times and have never had success. Is there a certain spot or am I just incapable of performing such a simple task?

Can you walk and chew gum?Big Secret runner catching trick.20 to 30ft of water around tide flow or any little rock pile.Drop chum bag to bottom with weight.Tie off to milk jug and drive away Come back 15min later and troll any feathers small spoons or big sabikis by the jug.If there is any tide or current this is 100%.Maybe not a dozen but 3 to 6 for sure.Or just troll around any inlet with clark spoons or small feathers.

Jr troll from Hills bridge then around the rocks

Besides the dropping of the chum bag it sounds just about what we have done.

Like I said, I may be incapable of performing such a simple task.

Maybe I'd be better off throwing the harpoon at a pig from a tree.

Gulp comes in shrimp scented strips. You can cut them into small pieces to tip your sabikis with scent. ALSO LITTLE PIECES OF SHRIMP OR SQUID WORKS WELL TOO. tRY IT AT THE HILLSBORO SEA BOUY. (sorry for the caps not yelling)

Dropper rig w/ #2 chort chanks and chunk O squid. Anchor rock piles and chum. Only go to this extreme when the other methods ain't gettin er done. Hell once you got em chummed up most of these methods work.

The last time I was at Atlantis I was thinking about you.First the school of reds swam by then the bonefish followed by the permit and Tarpon.I was picturing you casting into the tank for an aquarium super slam.

I use the big gog sabikis tipped with squid. My sure bet is going out to a wreck in 65 feet of water. Between runners/yellowtail/grunts/jacks I usually get bait. For runners I like clark spoons and the 1.99 jigs at walmart that come 2 on one line. Troll the rock piles just not as fast as you would troll offshore. Around 4-5mph
