Default Forecast: 6/23/07 - Summer Slam Tournament

50-line forecast for the Lighthouse Point area.

As of Friday, June 22nd, 5:25pm
I'm not too sure about rain or storms, but the seas look great for the hydroglow Summer Slam Tournament!

They were wrong last night for sure. It was South 15 knots and seas 2-4...didn't really let off until 12 AM when it shifted to the west and left off to about 12-13 knots. I'm going out tonight again and fishing on Saturday night so let's see how well they're doing. All I can say is that I live a half mile from the beach and it's blowing pretty good here.

Last night was a solid 2-4+. The ride out was not fun. At around 1the wind shifted out of the west and it finally was 2 foot. The bite was slow with 1 rat in the light and 7 or 8 slashed baits. Did hear of a guy that pulled the hook at the boat on a fish that was 250+ after a 2 hour fight.

I was on the planet that fished Thursday NIGHT 15 MILES OFFSHORE. Catching bait nearshore during the daytime isn't quite as similar is swording offshore.

My weather sources now still have it blowing at least 10 knots right now....and all I have to do is walk outside. I don't care about the weather - I've fished enough this winter in 6-8 but if it's chunky, it's going to be a little edgy for the smaller guys. Either way, my hopes is for the best conditions possible.

The afternoon seabreeze has been heavy lately and has been letting off real late. All I'm saying is don't be surprised if the weather says 2 ft. or less and it's not that because they've had it wrong last night and tonight because it ain't 5 knots right now. Best of luck to everyone fishing, including myself.

Hey Mike- Im with you on this one... Chris (IgotBenfits) was out today and said it was a bit choppy offshore and not the less than 2 feet as stated on buoy weather! It is still very fishable for the small guys out there but not the FLAT calm 1 foot seas. Good luck to all in the tourney. SUPERDOLPH will be out saturday night on 72, 78

Yeah, you can't call me out on being wrong if I was actually out there.

Should have gone tonight again, but I've been swording too much and need the rest for tomorrow night.
