Hopefully the weather holds up. There is a different tournament director this time - not taking anything away from Andy - but I've got you guys covered. I promise you'll really like this one a lot.

I'm in. If the weather improves I am taking a few little brothers and little sisters fishing that morning then headed to haulover. If anyone is into a lack of sleep for a good cause you are welcome to join me. They will need the boats.

Tight lines.

We're keeping an eye on the weather and the 'good' thing here is that the weather forecasters are hardly ever right over 24 hours in advance. It's very possible we could see a calming trender quicker than we think. I will personally ride out to the sword grounds on Saturday and make the call, or I will have somebody do it for me. If it's imminent on Friday night, I'll call it Friday night for the following weekend and we'll re-assess. Worst case is that we'll extend registration and do it next weekend.

We, Tim Fintastic, are looking forward to the tourney.

Yes, the WX can change on a dime. In fact, just a couple weeks ago on Friday, May 18, the NOAA forecast two days earlier, on Wednesday, called for NW winds at 15 - 20 and seas of 5 to 7 feet. Well, Friday turned out to be beautiful....almost glass smooth out there except for a brief shower. So, we got our fingers, eyes, legs and toes crossed.

I am not sure what the tournament organizers will use as a cut off to postpone the tournament but I am hoping we can still fly with a 3 to 5 and/or a spread out 4 to 6. Fishing has got to be good out there.

Looking forward to meeting many of you as we all weigh in some nice fish. I missed the first leg.

Best and high tides,

Juan

We'll do our best to get the best picture of what it's like and what it will be like out there. As of now, the geniuses that we pay to make weather predictions are all wrong because I live 300 yds. down the canal from the ICW and it's barely blowing 10 here and the forecast is for 15-20 knot winds so they've been wrong.

The tournament IS FISHING THIS WEEKEND unless we make the call on Saturday after I venture out to see for myself. So the tournament is fishing.

Kickoff party Friday night - don't miss it!!!!!!!

mike it would be a good idea to start a new thread so we can follow the executive decisions as to the weather and the go or no go on the tourney.

Miami Angler,

Take I-95 to Griffin and take Griffin west. Go over the tracks and make a right on Anglers Avenue. Go down the way about a quarter mile and make a left onto the road right before the bridge. You'll see the tournament banner hanging on the fence. Go down 300 ft. to the entrance gate which will be open, drive in, make a right and park and walk to the party and grab a drink and a sub! The raffle prizes this time are even better.

If you need anything else, feel free to give me a holler. My number is 954 830 0133 if you need to reach me.
