Went out last night for a quickie and boated a 51'', 53'', and 55''...let them all go. Get out there while it's nice out!

Chris, good luck on the NV. Jeff is the man.

Our bites were both shallow and deep....didn't seem to matter...3/3 - can't complain!

It wasn't the most normal thing I've fished in. Rather hard to explain - we weren't out there long...it was actually just a lucky night. We got the 51'' and 55'' off a double header and 5 minutes after putting the baits back out we hit the 53''....real short fights for all but we were fishing 25 lbs. of drag. I hope everybody out there tonight had a good night - we released one 58'' fish (still picking away at freezer stocked swordfish). It was a beautiful night because we kept the radios off.

I guess I'm an optimist because I always give 72 a chance. Thursday night, other than a few radio checks and a few "anybody doing anything?" the radio was dead. We did answer that we had 2 fish on, and would have probably shared info if we were asked...
The drift as I saw it, for every mile we drifted north we were being pushed offshore another mile :eek

Congrats on releasing 4 nice fish

Momentum, Nice job on all those 50 +'s. Also real nice to see another conservation minded angler. "Take enough for a dinner or two, release the rest for another day"

I released those fish in hopes of one of our anglers catching them all grown up in one of the tournaments. There's no point in me killing them, messing the boat up, taking the extra time to clean them, and then just have a surplus of swordfish that I haven't eaten yet. The Lindgren's recipe is awesome.

It was nice not to have to hear radio transmissions for one night because of what happened in the tournaments - it really was a peaceful night.

I had a similar drift pattern too...wasn't the prettiest thing but the way the puts fish in the boat is the way that works for me. Hope everyone had a good Saturday night out there - I was bait fishing.
