Default went through the Kapeller

You're absolutely right Ken.

I went fishing a few months back on the S.S. Disaster and my Electrical Storm light (company now defunct), went through the Kapeller as you say. It did not fare so well as yours. It is now a part of the South Florida artificial reef debris field. Just needed that excuse to get another. And yes it was a Swordlight this time around, but not the same color as the one you show in the photo.

But forgetting to pull in the light is easy to do. So easy, even a cave man can forget to do it.

You just wait til I take my Rum break. I could write a whole chapter just on deploying and retrieving an underwater light. And another chapter about the fishing tactics that go along with using an underwater light. Plus the other uses for a swordlight. Although Baseball or fish bats is not one of those practical uses.

Consider me signed off until the weekend. Need to pack the gear and prepare for fishing. We are Bahamas bound manan~a. I just hope we can catch 6 Yellowfin pelagics.

P.S. Elections are May 2 in the Bahamas. Let's see if MP Hubert Ingram becomes the next Prime Minister. As concerned as he is for the benefit of the locals fishing, I am sure he is compationate for the welfare of the out-islands where restrictive fishing limits will cause the most severe damage as far as fishing tourists are concerned. Can't wait to catch a few more snappers once again.

We put a hydraglow through the screws... That thing broke without even putting up a fight. Hydraglow replaced it.The replacment was more like a strobe light though blinking on and off about every second and a half. It gave every one on board a headache so we pulled it out. We tried it on 2 diffrent boats and then the batterey on my truck and it still gave us the same problem. Hydraglow replaced that one too. The third one is still working but im going for the blue swordlight soon. What do you guys think about 2 lights?

P.S. The nigth we broke the first hydraglow i fought a 350- 400lb monster for over 4 hours got him to the boat, got the leader and he took off in to the props. so we lost a light and a fish to the props that night. but we hooked the fish like an hour after the light broke... the night that we took out the light because it was blinking we got 2 fish one over 200Lb. So i question the light some times.

To me the light is more about entertaining the newbies BUT more importantly being able to see what your doing when you bring a fish up. With the light in it is so much easier to see the fish in the water...who knows maybe if the light was in the night you lost your monster, you could have seen better and thrown a poon at it.

P.S. I have caught just as many fish with a light as with out one...
