There is nothing more to it, it is a personal decision and that is where I stand. I dont care if I have to change the way I rig squid or spend some extra money. From now on, I will not support that company or use their products.

Darryn,

Unfortunately my boat is in the shop and I have exams in two weeks. But if you can get me on a boat, I am ready and willing.....Although I might have to go out with QQ first

TD obviously the rabbit is choking on some thing and Kermit is trying to dislodge it by using the hinny hump maneuver.Notice how he is slapping the rabbit on the back to help as well.

2 points to make here,

First, I also will not buy any gear froma company that spends as much time trying to open they FEC as they do making gear. Obvously a portion of every purchase goes in part to funding the fight for PLL gear in the closed zone.

And second point and much more important.

Default Top 10 reasons I can't stop buying LP products

Top 10 reasons I can't stop buying LP products:

10 - American made, some products right here in Pompano Beach.
9
8
7
6
5
4 - Those offset 9/0 J-Hooks work just fine and for an effective price.

Well, it will take me too long to fill in the other places.

3 - Duralites work over and over, even after using them the first time
2 - LP Electrolumes work great and have never leaked water.
1 - Their LP S-1200 Electric reel is a nice piece of machinery along with their older style electric reels. (Quality built stuff .)

I suppose you can boycott a company if they are not aligned with your ethical point of view. Yes, there are always alternatives, so do as you see fit. As for me, I like my LP stuff. I just won't be purchasing a long-line spool anytime soon.

If the concerted voices of the recreational, charter boat and conservation communities are not enough to favorably influence the continued exclusion of PLL fishing style in the designated Conservation zones, and Lindgren Pitman, Inc. have a direct influence over decisions to the contrary, I suppose I could be arm-twisted into a little bit of financial favoratism to a better alternative. Does anybody happen to know what the better alternatives happen to be? I really like Owner hooks: are they a better choice to buy hooks, for political reasons?
