I need to purchase a new glo stick. Anyone have an opinion on the

Sword lights are durable and they produce more than the hydraglow. 12volt style

Both lights produce fish. I fish using a Hydro- Glow and have caught a couple of swords. To each his own but to say one produces more than another is not true.

I like my sword light but my best night on the water was light outs (no light at all). But I like the light in the water especially when it comes time to leader or gaff.

Both HG and Swordlight assist the angler in seeing what's swimming around the boat. If you can't see them, you can't pitch a bait to them. And as Capt Shane said, you don't need a light to catch fish but it sure does help with being safer on the water.
Swordlight is now I think 27 inches long and puts out as much light as a 5ft HG. So carrying or storing the Swordlight is a bit easier. -Tek |

Barry, I agree there customer service is great but that dosent help 15 miles offshore and you just cracked your 3rd replaced hydroglow
Go with swordlight they are made of better housing and more durable. Tek will tell you I have broken my share of both and swordlight is harder to break.

B25,
Dont think it says squid retailer on the website. Not many tackle vendors around willing to sell flats of squid when they can charge $8 for three squid. I agree and I think so would he, shop around, it is a right you have and should duly excercise. Not defending or criticizing..... just analyzing

BlueWater25... like I told you on the phone, the flats are $60 + tax which comes to $63.60. You mentioned paying $40 the last time and I told you then that you might be mistaking or that I screwed up and lost money. Buying Squid for a little over $1 each is a great deal.
If you found them cheaper... go for it but I stand behind the product and the price. Sorry if you felt you were being cheated. -Tek |

I pay anywhere from $70 for a 22 pound flat to $90 for a 45 pound flat 150-200 gram squids, either way you are saving money and getting a better quality squidly to rig. Price will be different on the size of the squid 150-200 gram squid are cheap and you get around 150 squid in a 45 pound flat great for summer when the rats and squids are thick tearing up the baits, but to get the 250-300 gram squids you will pay more and get less around 30-35 squid per 22 pound flat. My last 22 pound flat had 33 squids but they were all 250 to 300 gram fat fresh squids and only one had a torn mantle.
As things go you get what you pay for, hope this explians it.

I use the sword light, but. I know someone who just got one of these and says these are the bomb. I cant say have not seen it in action yet. I will report back when I do. Underwater Halogen and Green Fluorescent Fishing Lights for use from a boat, dock or ice fishing.
