I use the Swordlight.
I have a rechargeable battery jumper that I run it off of. I bought it at Sears for 49$. It will run the light all night without even draining one of the 5 charge indicator lights. |

Ive been using the Lucky Spot. Its a D cell powered LED light that is self contained and can go as deep as 100 feet down in the water column. You get 24 to 30 hours from 4 D cells. It spins under water and looks like an underwater light house. Its ruggedly built but I dont know how it compares to the sword light. I do like not having to bring a car battery with me every time like I did with other lights.

I do agree with H-glows service, but when you constantly have to sent the product back it's a pain! I've busted them all! But the Swordlight seems easier to handle and the guy is local and will fix you up right away!

[quote=Nick C;45526]Why did you buy a swordlight then?
[quote] Because it is shorter, and it sinks. I also like the 2 colors, but that is pretty much the main reasons. I have caught many more fish using a hydraglow, but all the bigger fish have been since the swordlight. It is like ALL things in life, everytime you gain you loose, I choose the light that i like better while it is working, not about breaking or not breaking etc. Also those 40.00 lights...How many amps do they draw? that is usually the issue with a cheap light, but I could be wrong?
