Default 2 speed hi/low

i was wanting to get some other opions on when you think you shou7ld put the reel into low gear? why do you put it into low gear? just wanting to learn the differences and why people use low gear as well as when

All 5 of our 50 Wides are two speed. We've never used the low gear for Swords. With a lighter drag for Swords then say a Yellowfin we wouldn't ever expect to use the low gear. If pumping up a Yellowfin with 40 pounds of drag I'm sure the low speed would be the reel selection. I put it in the catagory of "gotta have it" but never use it.
