Default Tiagra question

I have 80lb on my 50wlrs now. I want to switch it out. I know the line ?capacities for mono. But I want to switch it out to 130lb JB. Anyone know the line capacity for 130 JB on the 50W? I want to top shot it too. Or is this over kill?

Any better suggestion will also be appreciated.

I use to use a short(75 yard) 80# topshot to 130# JB and with Tek removed the topshotwhen i respooled. Without it you get about 825-850 yards of the 130JB with a windon with good clearance.

Sorry, fast fingers. I only use 130# as the 80# JB with heavy drag is a BEAR on the hands and will cut you for sure...DUKE

Thanks, guy. Do you know anywhere in West Palm that spools JB? I checked at Grand Slam and Lotts and they don't deal JB.

The 130# sounds the way togo then.

I know a place that has it

If you want to max out your line capacity and still use a Windon Leader (know where to get those too). You are looking at about 833 yards of 130#JBHC connected to a your windon.

If you just want to add line capacity BUT still fish mono, here's an option. 550 yards of 130#JBHC and a 150 yard topshot of 80# momoi Diamond (Breaks over 100#). This still leaves "goof room" and for a windon leader.

There are MANY reasons to spool up with Hollowcore Spectra! Just find the reason that works best for your situation.
