I was curious ot see how many people fight swords from fighting chairs? i have fought all the fish ive caught for the past 3 years standup but we recentley just got a sweet new release marine fighting chair. i never hear about people using chairs but for the most part everyone downhere is running center console open fish. If there is anyone out there using a chair let me know how you like it vs.stand up.

thats what my attitude was but a bunch of guys i know with big sport fish's still going stand up i couldnt figure out what the advantage of stand up over the chair was other than mobility? but i got guys on the controls who are going to keep the boat sittin nice so ill be relaxin in the chair till i hear my 80w screaming.

My back is shot for stand up so it is the holder or chair for me.I have not used a chair for a long time. The last chair fish for me was a 800lb giant off Block Island.I want to fight a big sword from a chair

A chair will work well, but the problem is most everyone has stand up type rods that won't clear the corners (not long enough). You would have to fish with bent but boat rods in order to clear and they would be pretty cumbersome to manuver.
