Default I think we need bigger hooks!

These were caught from the Royal Polaris down in Mexico. Jerry Brown is currently on this long range trip. I'm hoping he's gonna send me some squid

ok call me crazy but i think that there are squid almost that big out on our grounds
one night we found a beak in the stomach of a sword that was probably 4 times the size of the biggest beak i have ever seen in a store bought squid used for swords. i saved it but im on the other coast of fl right now but when i get home i will take a pic of it and post it.

Those are Humboldt Squid. We've got some good sized ones in the Atlantic, but nothing that size, aside from the Archaetuthis(sp).

I have a picture of one that was 13' long, found it drifting dead near the equator in the Atlantic. It's not digital, suppose I could scan it.
