Default swording? cant seem to get it right =(

sup guys, 1st post to the forums =). ive been reading a few of the posts here and there based on the topics that may help me out but im still very unsuccessful at swording. atm im in a 21ft dusky and i can only really get out there on calmer days which hasnt been to many this month. regardless, as for gear, i have a 4 ft hydro, 4 electralums, glowsticks, and im currently fishing 2 30 penn VSW, and a 50 penn VSW, all with wind on leaders and marks up to 400 ft. i do use jugs on the tip roads and the 50 vsw ill send to about 400ft. been about 7 times now and getting a little discourged at this point so i kinda got into kite fishing after that and it turned out to be a bomb also, bought all the stuff for it and my score on sails is 0. anyways this is the swording forums.

i was wondering if i could possible be an observer on someones boat if they would be willing to teach me. im very eager to learn about fishing and all different species and methods used to catch them but atm i only rely on what i see on tv, read on the internet, or ask at the local bait shop. im currently on a little vacation till feb 1<firefighter for miami dade county>. so im available pretty much any day until i get back on shift. any additional tips to my methods would be most appreciated. thanx

I don't have observers on my boat only anglers to handle the rods.
I was planning to go out tonight but the bite will be early and I will probable miss it. If you are not getting a bite then you are doing something wrong because they eat almost anything. ARE YOU PUTTING A BAIT ON THE HOOK?
Anyway, call me @ 954-322-5930, we can arrange something in the near future.

Ivan

There are a ton of guys here who have spots available all the time.

Count me as one of them.

I'm in a very similar situation as you, gear wise.
20ft center console, smooth water needed.

However I must be doing somthing right, I have had only 5 trips and on four of them I have had hookups and lots of action and three have caught fish.

Best bet until you can get with someone, read read read read.
There is a dirth of information on here and it really is helpful.

Also look at your top posters, you guys know who you are.

They are always helpful.

I lost my virginity to a big momma. 1st time out. 1st time hooked up. 2 hours later, 200+lb on the deck. I would have fought that fish 'til sunrise if I had to.

At that point, I was hooked deeper than the fish.

Your probably right.

Now if I can get a spot on someone else's boat next week so I don't have to do all the work.

I'm so addicted, I think my wife regrets marrying a fisherman.

Cuz most of our backs are blown out, and we all love seeing that look on a persons face when they realize " Holy chit I'm hooked into something bigger and stronger than me " for the first time Did I mention how much stamina these fish have.

I guess any ABBA cd is a bad disc too.

The real question is does Captain and Tenile fall into the bad disc area or does he get a break as a captian?

Ok I'll shut up now.

L3,-L5 Bulging w/ a tear on L4 too many epidurals to count.....The morphine helps me get the shoes tied Mixed reviews on the surgery, from Dr's and patients. Like Eric said I know guyz way worse off than me. I'm still fishin, and have a scrip to take care of the worst of it Sounds like greg has a cooler full of Nick C's world renowned squidz for tonight Should be a shoe in for a keeper We'll see......

Im not in back surgery area yet. Ive only been swordy huntin for about a yr and a half and the largest to date was a 157lber, 30 minute fight. So my back is still in pretty good shape. But I am just waiting for that day when my rod goes nuts with a 300+ on it . Tight Lines, lots of beer, good times
