This guy is running around from Boynton to jupiter all day looking for fish, then cuts a hard right and sets up just out side of you twice!!!!!!
BTW that is Ray Roser on the Get Lit!! ![]() Here's a few more pics-- ![]() Note: Use gloves when leadering a hot fish ![]() Team Goin' Raptor ![]() Running out in a nasty 3-5' snotty sea(we are the boat with the blue bottom paint) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Out of 54 of the best Sailfisherman in the world, in one of the most prestigous Sailfish tournaments in the world, Myself and Team finished 4th(in the "money"). I've won my share of tournaments and placed well in others, but this is the one I am most proud of. Some of you don't understand... it's not like a Sword tourney where you get lucky and drop a squid in front of big nasty. NO! You gotta work and find the fish for 3 days and be consistant. Always watching for a tailer and fish up in the spread. I have never been so spent up after the past couple days of fishing, but it was worth it! Don't know if missing the awards dinner where Ray Roser(my ideal) and his team sat at our table, to go swordfishing was such a good idea, but we did hook the biggest, nastiest fish any of us have ever hooked(3/4 spool on a 50W tiagra with 130 JB and 22lbs of drag off the reel).

Way to champ it out. My congrat to the Goin' Raptor crew for a job well done! If I had Rosher sitting at the same table as me I would have drilled him with 100 questions. BTW, that's a cool underwater pic of that sail.

As it looks fromthe picture, your hands are incorrect the way you are holding the bill of the sailfish. If I am correct, whoeve is doing this better take lessions or on a large fish, they can get hurt.

Please do explain... Last time I checked, palms down and thumbs facing each other was the way to do it. That's how I bill swords too... If there is a better or safer way, let me know because I don't want to get hurt out there! Poonman, Canon PowerShot SD700 with the underwater case.
