Default New FinNor Spinners

Awesome reels, ours came in the mail yesterday. Hols 600 yrds of 100lbs Power Pro, supposedly gets 60lbs of drag, well see about that. They changed that stupid handle design that was on the old one. The drag disc on the thing is huge. Best part is the price, we got it on the internet for $130 after shipping. Anyways, just letting you guys know this seems like a reely solid spinner, very well built, simple..........well see how it holds up.

This was the rod for the Accurate

Think this will become the rod for the FinNor and we will build a short bent butt for the Accurate. Going straight to Louisiana, weather depending, once I get out of school to test both of them out. Anyways, just letting you guys know, for the price this seems like the best spinner on the market by far.

Johnny the only thing I would worry about with huge drag is if the reel post can handle it?Also can the reel seat be clamped to the rod some how?

These are concerns of mine as well. The best thing I have came up with so far is cloth underneath a hose clamp on both sides of the reel foot. Of course I am not going to fish 60lbs of drag but I might try and see what the thing is capable of  My only wish is that they would make the gear ratio less on the spinners but I guess I will have to wait.

Jared,

I would give it the same review having not used it. Played with it for a while, the bail arm does seem a little weak and the spool has a little slip before grabbing. Well see, all I can say is that compared to the similarly priced reels on the market it seems to be much better built.

I've always thought about doing that somehow. You would have to spin the reel seat on the bent butt around somehow wouldn't you? I can't wait to see this. Good Luck.

I saw them when they came out! They look great! I am having a 50lb class spinner built for this as we speak. 5 1/2 ft, I will post pics once I have the combo completed. cant wait to catch a sword on that!
